I have extracted all the Beesley birth, deaths & christenings from the Bishop Itchington parish registers on FHL film #s: 548396 & 554749 and was working on Chadshunt FHL flim #: 428981 Starting with Thomas & Alice & their sons Bennet & Job christened in 1698, I followed their descendents (one or 2 of whom remained in the area) until my ancestors emigrated in 1850 and have collected other Beesleys (who I'm not sure of their relationship if any). In my line, Bennet had 7 children, only the last of whom had a mother listed (and he jnst happened to be mine). Thomas & Alice (2 children in this register) Bennet (c 1698) & Alice (7 children; 1 died very young) Joseph (c 1734) & Mary (7 children; the 1st Thomas died very young) Thomas (c 1774) & Sarah Wrighton (6 children; their first born, the 1st William died very young) James (c 1801) & Elizabeth Bradshaw (2 children; 1 died very young) George (c 1833) James, Elizabeth & George emigrated in 1850 to NY. He married Anna Burnhart in 1885 and had 6 children. I have collected a number of other sublines as well and would be glad to share them. Blessings, Joanne (Virginia, USA)

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/plC.2ACEB/957.1.1.1.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: I have got kind of carried away with Beasleys. None of those I wrote to you about are my direct ancestors, but it's a fascinating family and I have built quite a large database (234 Beasleys) Sarah Beasley, daughter of John and Esther, was baptized April 16 1758 in Harbury. She married in Harbury 26 November 1783. William Bass was born about 1758 in Bishops Itchington and died there age 86 July 1845. Their children were mostly born in Bishops Itchington. Mary Beasley, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth, was baptized privately September 13, 1778, and baptized publicly January 25, 1779 in Harbury. She married John Randall January 25, 1803 in Harbury. His residence was Bishops Itchington. The John I have attached to Rose Cottage is the son of Henry and Elizabeth, baptized October 19 1775 in Harbury. His wife was Frances. I have no idea why he would have a daughter named Mitchill. His known children are William,Frances Sarah Eliza, Harriet, Thomas and Bethel.Bethel was born in 1809 so perhaps his wife died young and he had a relationship with a Mitchell, but didn't marry her. I hope this helps. I would be interested to learn more about your family. I have come across Job as a Beasley name when doing research. My earliest confirmed Beasley is Henry, wife Ann, to whom somebody was apprenticed in Harbury in 1729, he a tailor. Val.

I did find an Ellen Beasley born to a John & Elizabeth Beasley, 6 June 1813, in Bishops Itchington, which is approximately when your Helen should have been born but this John is listed as a shoemaker, not a grocer as the John in the 1851 census was. (I think that this John was born in 1767 in Bishops Itchington and he & Elizabeth were married in 1790 after which they had 7 children so he probably isn't yours since yours was born in Harbury and should have been born around 1777.) The only Mary Beesley I found in the parish register was born in 1755, way to early to be your Mary who married in 1803. Do you have any more information about your Beesley/Beasleys in and around Bishops Itchington so I can maybe tie them into all the other Beesleys from Bishops Itchington that I've charted beginning with Thomas & Alice who had twin sons, Bennet & Job in 1698. 2. Annette, would you happen to have an Alpha Omega Beasley somewhere in your line. I have her born in 1805 in NC and moving to around the Limestone/Morgan Co, AL area by 1823 where she married David Stacy. I have absolutely nothing else on her. And there were two other Alpha Omega Stacy's later on in 1880 and 1884. Two brothers, David and George Stacy apparently named their daughters after her. The one born in 1880 was my grandmother. Thanks for anything you can provide. Sharia Henley

    2. Lenora - Thanks so much for the info. I have very little on the NC Beasley's. I'm actually doing this for a friend and he has very little to go on. Although it isn't my family line, I'm a researcher for 20 years, so it's making me as crazy as my own blood line research is making me. :). I know his family is from the Cumberland County, NC area, so I'm presuming the surrounding counties would come in to play as well. I would love to correspond! Maybe I can stir up my friend with this info and get him digging for more info as well! I'll let you know of anything I can get my hands own. Thanks and God Bless! Annette

    3. I have Isaac born 11/22/1842(40) in either Warren County or Simpson County, KY. I only have nine children for John and Jane - I must be missing somebody. I have Lucinda, Joseph C., Elizabeth, James, Silas, William Oliver, Sarah Ann, Isaac H., and Rachel J. Who am I missing? I have a magazine or book article on Nealy Birdsong (I think). I will have to look for it. When I find it, I will let you know where it came from. I would be more than happy to share what I have with you, but it has to be by snail mail - I don't have mine on computer. If you want to send me your address, I will try to get it to you as soon as I can. I would love to see what you have also. I would be more than happy to pay for copier and/or postage costs. My address is 29202 97th Road, Arkansas City, KS 67005. Or you can send it to me by e-mail, as long as it is compatible with Word or WordPerfect or just e-mail. I have Elizabeth's death 5/19/1906(07) in Maries County, MO and buried at Hickory Grove Cemetary. I have Joseph buried in Douglas County, MO; James in Gasconade County, MO; Silas in Sumner County, TN; Williams Oliver at High Gate Baptist Church Cemetary in Gasconade County, MO; and Sarah in Clack Cemetary in Simpson County, KY. I agree with Kathryn Evans on John's birthplace - it just depends on what you read. By the way - Isaac H. was my ggreat-grandfather; his daughter Frances Loretta was my great-grandmother; her daughter Belvia Lucinda was my grandmother.
