Henry's and my Grandmother's father was Zachariah T. Beasley. Since you added Blankenship to your post, I feel that your Zachariah Beasley ancestor was my Gr-Gr-Grandfather's Uncle. He married Lucinda Jane Blankenship. I have their children as Laura, George, Gladys, and Lola.

    3. Ruth, I have the name Gowan/Gowen/Goin Beasley in my pile of Beasley stuff. I got the name from "A Supplement to a Study of the Barbee Familes of Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties in North Carolina by Shields et al" compiled by Kathryn Crossley Stone. Gowan/Gowen/Goin is mentioned as a grandson in the William Beasley will dated 1744. I descend from the Barbees and Beasleys who showed up in Orange County, NC around 1750. I'm looking for any information linking Henry Beasley of Orange County back to Essex County, Virginia. Cliff Beasley

Surnames: beesley, beasley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/plC.2ACEB/1108 Message Board Post: My great-grandfather was Henry Wilgerson Bea/esley (b. 23 Dec 1894, Pontiac MO; d. Oct 1973, Beggs, OK). I think we have traced him back to a John Beasley, b. 1685 on Beesley Island, Craven Co., NC, but we are not sure. Henry's mother was Martha Jane Burns (b. 6 Sept 1860, Kentucky, d. 23 May 1942 in Oklahoma), and his father was John Beesley (b. 30 Mar 1850, Warren Co., KY, d. 1898). I have found a lot of information on everyone EXCEPT HW Beesley. It's almost as though he did not exist, though he did have a Social Security Number and I have seen his headstone in the Okfuskee Cemetery. I know that he was married twice. His second wife, Ezra Esther Owen, gave birth to 14 children (one being my grandmother, Dorothy). I need information on his first wife and their children (seven or eleven, I'm not sure which), whose names include Charles Frank (b. 1917, d. 1973), Jewel (b. 1914, d. 1931), Flay, Fray, Duff, Ida, and Hazel. We need any information anyone has on Henry Wilgerson, and would also like to know if we are on the right track following him back to Solomon (1707, Beasley Island) and John (1685, Beasley Island). Any tiny bit of information would be greatly appreciated.

    3. ----- Original Message ----- From: Demona To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, April 04, 2003 11:02 AM Subject: Parker Beasley I have come across a Parker Beasley in Johnson County Arkansas 1844 and 1847, where he was listed as being among jurors or those who had cases to be heard. Also found in Crawford County which at one time composed Johnson counties and surrounding counties.... My ancestor was an Anderson M. Beasley who came to Ark prior to 1849 and died in 1853. I have no info on him prior to that except he married an Eveline Nicks in Ill before coming to Ark. He had three children, Alexander, Quinton Dillard (my ggfather) and Elizabeth all born in Ark. He is listed on a tax role as M.A. Beasley. Do you have anything that might help me, could this Porter be your Porter and be related. Believe that Anderson was born in Tenn.
