    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: dbzly48 Surnames: beezley, beasley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.beasley/2200.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My original Beezley information, including that from Family Search, the parents of John Beezley were John Beasley and Jane Coghill, as you say. Since then, I have had the pleasure to correspond with John Beatty, a genealogical librarian from Fort Wayne, IN, a Beezley descendant who had studied the matter came to the conclusion that the relationship is untrue. He has shared his manuscript and I have made it available on my genealogy website. Please see the link on http://beezley.net/genealogy/. In that paper, John explains why the Beasley/Coghill parentage is mistaken and suggests alternative lineage. His work has done a lot to extend my own Beezley genealogy. 3. I should clarify my previous email in that my Lucinda Beasley Jackson was supposedly a sister of the Reuben Beasley I mentioned, and that he was an American diplomat of some note, of course making me think that if I could pinpoint his lineage I would have data on her. Sorry for the confusion.

    3. Have you ever run across mention of a Reuben Beasley/Beazley? I descend from a Lucinda Beasley, who I've assumed was born in Caroline Co, VA or an adjacent county. She married a Wm. Francis Jackson and they came to Pike Co, IL, along the Mississippi River. There are confusing Beasley/Beazley lines in and around Caroline!

John Hiner died some time between 1850 and 1860. His widow Nancy lived in Palo Alto, Chickasaw County, Mississippi at the time of the 1860 census. In the 1920 census of Grant Parish, LA her remarried husband has two sons who would have been born before Brooksie's death, so they must be her children. The latter son, Charlie, is born in Louisiana in 1907. I wonder if that is where Brooksie died. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. She passed Aug 1, 1916 according to the listing I have from the cemetery so it is possible that her husband remarried in 1917. You may already have her parents' names: Lucy Lungren Beasley and Charles Hunter Beasley. I could probably find out their birth/death dates if you need them. Author: sfocke157 Surnames: Beasley, Walker, Weber Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.beasley/2181.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: My mother, Brooksie Beasley (Walker)b. Nov 1921 of Garland, AR, was named for Brooksie Beasley Brownlee. I believe that Mrs. Brownlee was the sister of my grandfather, Charles A. Beasley. In addition, they had another sister, Charline Beasley Person who also lived in Garland, AR. My mother moved from Arkansas to Memphis, TN when she married Guy Gene Walker in 1946, then transferred to Houston, TX where she lived from 1962 until her death last year on July 27, 2007. My sister and I (Gene Walker and Susan Walker) are her only children, and she has one granddaughter, who is my daughter, Shannon Brooke Weber. She had one brother, Charles A. Beasley, who resided in Ft. Smith, AR with his family until his passing in 1999. He has three sons, Charles A. Beasley, Robert Beasley, and John Beasley. I hope this is helpful in your research.
