Hope I'm not butting in, but for years I've sought info on my ancestors, Wm. Francis & Lucinda Beasley Jackson, she I think from the Caroline Co, VA Beasleys. She supposedly had a brother, Reuben, who was an American diplomat in the early l800s. She and her husband moved to Pike Co, IL where they are buried. I' ve about given up on them!

Does anyone have any more information on Rachel Beasley???? I have a great great aunt, Rachael Beasley (listed on the 1850 Hamilton Co., IL., census), born 1840 in Tennessee (probably White County).?? Unfortunately, I have no other info.?? That connection of Tennessee to Illinois to Missouri follows my line.? Miss BEASLEY My 4th great grandfather LODOWICK JONES MAJOR mar a Miss BEASLEY whose name is unknown to me. Lodowick lived in Culpeper and Madison Counties, Va. He was born in 1742, son of SAMUEL MAJOR and ELIZABETH JONES. He died sometime after 1820. His wife's name and dates of birth and death are not known. Joseph T. Monday/McKinley Beasley was my Great-Grandfather Lindsey's brother. McKinley had brothers and sisters Lucy (George Washington), Thadeus (Kizzie Neeley), Willis, Ann Eliza (William Brooks), Janie ( Nathan Harris) Lindsey (Judy Kennedy) Tim and Thomas. I began this research as a small child and was able to get most of my information from grandma Charity's old bible that one of my grandfathers sisters guarded for many years before she would let me touch it. Many of his sisters were alive during my initial research and were very helpful, but no one seemed to know what happened to their brother Monday (which is what they fondly called him).
