    3. Hello, I am looking for information on Mary Dickinson. She married Levi Raleigh Beasley in Winfield, Marion County, Alabama. Would like to know what year she married him. She was born in 1862 in Marion County, Alabama and was buried at Winfield Cemetery on 16 April 1932. I would be interested in any thing to do with Mary. Hope to hear from someone soon...... Karen D. My Grand mother 5 generations back was Letitia Beasley. She was born around 1854, and I am showing in Virginia. She passed about 1900 in Otter, Clay WVA. Her husband was James M McCracken, born 17 Feb 1853, passing around 1900 also. I am showing Letitia's father was Melton Beasley, and I am not sure about her mother, but I found Mary P. Williams. I also see that there was a name change from Beasley to "Beazley" between Melton Beasley and his mother Catherine Beazley, not showing his father's name. I am interested in finding out more about this and if I have the correct information. If you can help I would appreciate any info I can find. I am hoping you are somehow related to me! 1. [BEASLEY] Mary Cordelia Beasley-Hudson
    2. Just thought all of your Beasleys and descendants would like to know about this. Quite a distinctive honor, I believe. Now if we can all get out and vote in the upcoming election so we can hopefully keep this sacred right, and keep this wonderful country free by returning to the values of our founding fathers! I'm pretty proud of Mary Cordelia Beasley-Hudson of Benton County, Tennessee! Jean Stringham E-mail received today: ===================================== Howdy folks, A bit of great news for a change. The State Historical Marker society just rang me and told me that on Friday afternoon they approved as submitted our request for a Historical marker to be placed at the court house for Mary Cordelia Beasley-Hudson. I've just called the mayor and let him know that in a few days the letter will arrive and we'll need to send the previously appropriated money for the marker to be created. I think it is a great thing to finally have some lasting memorial for the first woman to vote in the state. Ladies this just goes to show if you keep at it you can get there. It only took Mary 90 years to get this recognition. We will be having another meeting of the event committee soon. I will email each of you when that date is set. Any one that would like to attend please let me know by email as this is not yet an open meeting and we are still working out the details of the organization. Thanks, John W.
