Author: BJ_Marlow Surnames: Beasley/Beasly/Marlow Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.beasley/2259/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Carolina Beasley appears in the 1850 MS Census in Coahoma Co, dwelling # 25, family # 25. She is listed with a son, James, age 3. She indicates that she was born in TN and James was born in MS. Caroline further indicates her parents were born in GA. Caroline Beasley purchased a large tract of land in MS in 1848. At the same time, Andres, Randolph and Henry Beasley purchased land. In 1850, Caroline Beasley marries William D. Marlow and they move down the Sunflower River to the community of Lehrton. They have 4 children, Lee, Mary Emma, Annie Belle, and William D. Caroline Marlow is found buried in the Lehrton Cemetery alongside her son, Aaron G. Beasley. I do not know how James became Aaron unless it was Aaron James. Both were born in 1847. I further believe that Caroline married a Beasley and do not know her maiden name. Possibly it was Love from TN. In 1850, she was well off and no husband is listed in the census record. Also living in dwelling # 27, Family # 27 ! down from Caroline is Elizabeth Beasley (AL) with children Thomas (MS), Richard (?), Benjamin (?), & William (?). I am desperate for help.
