Hi I have James Bearse and some of his children Bearse and Bierce. Of John and Sarah's children, I have some Bearce, Bears, and Bearse. I know for sure that that back to my 5th g-grandfather that we have spelled it Bearce. My Mayflower papers also have John's last name spelled Bearce. Hope that makes some sort of sense, it's getting late and I have a killer headache.
