Last Saturday we attended a genealogy convention held here in Salt Lake City where BYU had a booth set up for the Molecular genealogy study they are conducting. Both my wife and I chose to be a part of that study. I would hope that all of the Bearse/Bearce families will also participate. Their web site is at: http://molecular-genealogy.byu.edu Their Email: molecular-genealogy@email.byu.edu When they a large enough data base they plan that the DNA could be used to establish links to homelands and genotypic links in each populations. This will prove such family links such as Native American, etc. They require a four generation chart. The web site also lists future collection activities. I enjoy the longer messages that are on the List site. >> Glenn, I want to thank you and the ex-lurker Betty and the other cousins for opening up and telling a little about your selves. I notice and I think this would be a good idea instead of my idea earlier when we post a message we could sign it with names and city and state. Then those who wish to make a map shall keep track or ask me because I am for my BeArce data bank. Glenn I am very interested in the DNA program but unfortunately I live too far away. Please let us know how it turns out. And I will also bookmark that site. And lurkers don't worry. We bantering BeArces love an audience. Right? Jimmy? Wendy? Goofy? Sharon? lol. And don't be surprised that when you finally do decide to join us orally you find out you can't shut up! Gee, I forgot the biggest mouth of all ELAINE!! OK now on a serious note something has been bugging me for a while but I couldn't figure it out. (bear with me here). I thought Chief Massasoit was Mary Hyanno's Grandfather. Wendy and I had a discussion about it and I drove her nuts with 20 questions one night in the family chat room. Good place to be when inquiring minds wanna know. So, I come across some paper work that Eileen Brown sent me and lo and beho there is the story of Mary and Augustine. I was not imagining it! Eileen are you with me here? Go and find your paper work and tell me if it says the same thing as mine? Was this written by Dale Burley in 1979 as that is penciled in on the paper? Also there are some reference numbers and it says Bearce Family. Eileen and I and maybe some other cousins we have a different tree! As far as Mary's ancestors go. This is two pages long and very detailed. If the majority rules I could type it. There could be some clues in here. ~Gypsy~ PS. There is also some Bearss information.
