It has proven to be relatively accurate although Lemuel doesn't cite specific sources. Shattuck, Lucretia: b. April 6, 1815; m. Edmund Bearss, and has had, 1. Elizabeth; 2. Henrietta; 3. Edgar, (deceased;) 4. Mary Ellen: 5. Emma Frances. Joanna Curtis, who put that database together, also found the tombstone of Henrietta somewhere that gave her date of death and age. I did search the Upper Canada List as you suggested before and will do it again. Oxford county is just a bit west of "Niagara". And, just in case anyone is interested in genealogy :-)), the clues I am looking for are more evidence to prove my possible Bearse ancestry. It is a fun site although it obviously isn't for everyone. I don't mind as I have a little key next to the "end" key that is well used. Then there is the unsubscribe option when my interest in a particular surname declines, or my available hours per day has been used up. I hope everyone continues to have fun. Regarding genealogy. I am comfortable with my ancestors up to Jasher Taylor born 12 Mar 1761, great grandson of Priscilla Bearse born 10 Mar 1644. Between Jasher and Priscilla I am not so sure. If anyone can prove or disprove this connection, I would be most appreciative. Jasher's line can be viewed at: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rckline-wards&id=I23033 You may have to cut and paste that URL if your viewer wraps it onto a second line. Or, access the "Ward" database from my web site (URL in sig below). Also, thanks to Sharon Satterfield, I now know we have a Bearss connection in Ontario, Canada. For anyone descended from Edmund Bearss and Lucretia Shattuck there are several ancestral lines back to the 1600's. Check out Henrietta Bearss at: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rckline-shattuck&id=I3292 Or, from the "Shattuck" database from my web site. The notes and sources are not on line on this one. This is all we have on Henrietta: "!BIRTH:DEATH: Tombstone in Springford Cemetery in Springford, Oxford Co. Ontario, Canada. Birth date calculated." Her ancestry is documentented in the Memorials of The Descendants of William Shattuck; Lemuel Shattuck; Dutton and Wentworth, Boston, 1855, starting on page 334, and many other sources. Best wishes to everyone. -- Robert Kline email: robertkline@telus.net 1079 Walalee Dr, Phone: 604-657-0134 Delta, BC, Canada, V4M 2L9 Web page: http://www3.telus.net/robertkline/
