Sounds like a good idea.......I second it. Sue S Gypsy, Just start scanning and put it on here...Don't laugh, Gypsy, I am serious. Has Wyatt Knapp made it to this list? He said he might be coming out east in Sept. Sharon

A pack of Juicy Fruit? >> Pat, No, it wasn't a contest but when I realized I didn't reveal the authors name I was wondering who would ask or who would find it. Did you know that wrappers of Juicy Fruit will ward off ants? I don't see how? Do you? Ever hear that? I am glad you are ordering the book. I haven't started mine yet. I was wondering who else is interested in reading Cape Cod? What we could do is read a bit a night or week and then discuss the book. For instance we could compare the plot of his story to ours. I am not sure how much he made up as the story is supposed to be about his family. Just an idea I had. Anybody else want in? This could be fun!!! You could even read it and lurk!! Wendy I will not read it for you. Go and see if you can get it on those tapes you play in your car. That would be kewl! I like them. What would be the odds of finding it? lol ~Gypsy~

Some of my wife's relatives are Nickersons from Cape Cod so we have a few common ancestors. Prior to the Revolution her people went to Nova Scotia as did my Bears people and then they went to PEI. My grandfather Albert Bears came back to the states about 1890. As for my wife's family reunion, it was due to her aunt's 90th birthday. We had our share of lobster, clams and mackeral. The weather was cold and overcast but it did not keep the grand kids out of the water at Good Harbor in Gloucester. As of the accomadations, we had the good fortune to use a friend's condo in Danversport. Plan to go back in Oct for my 45th high school reunion and try to find information on Curtis in Duxbury, MA and King in Bangor ME. Bill Harding

Unfortunately what Gary mentioned losing were pictures. which is one reason to post our old ones in MYFAMILY!!! plus it saves there and doesn't take up all the space on your hard drive!! just a tip!! I have separate Bearse list for immediate cousins and try to post mine there for safe keeping!! Those cousins are not as interested in genealogy as they are in current events etc.. something for everyone and I have the best of both worlds!! Wonderful Wendy (you all new what WW meant.....right..hee hee)

gypsy, where did you here this?? this is what i make of it, but i am not the "chief", so don't really know who you were asking for help with this...... maybe someone else will have a different interpretation than me, as i am just learning and could be off a bit: "Soh w'ooche (wutche) chuh horsesog": Ho! Look! there comes a horse from over there. (anyone else with a translation??) soh means:from out of (a place) w'ooche means: from, because of, on behalf of, etc. chuh means: Ho! Look! names like horse- where they added the ending "og" to european names for the animals that were not of native origin. Aquene kah Nah-hon-nush-shangk means: Peace and farewell. (this is for sure) love to all Aquene (peace) cousin debi
Cousins and fellow Revolutionists, We have another member come over from the other side thanks to that infamous letter! Bill's mother is a Bears and his family is from PEI. I think Barbara's was too. ( Where is that girl? Her e-mail bounces back now. Does anybody know her new addy?) Bill lives in Kalamazoo, MI. We are neighbors! Yea! Bill says he just got back from MA. He was in Cape Ann. Not only is his family from MA but his wife's family is also! Could be some karmic ties there, Bill. They were at his wife's family reunion! Does that mean next year Bill gets to come to ours? Hmmmm. Tit for tat! Lol........now ya know what that means! Maybe Bill will tell us how the reunion went......lodging, food.....etc... ~Gypsy~
Cousins, We have some new members. One is Gary and the other two are Toms. I won't mention last names here. Just in case. LOL. Gary got hit by that nasty tornado last year and lost tons of important data. Maybe we can help him out. Maybe not. And Tom is a likable fellow he puts up with my corny jokes and puns. Tom please tell the cousins something about yourself. LOL. I see there is another Tom here also. Did a member get him in? If so please let us know who he is. I hope one of these Toms gets a nickname. Two Jimmies is bad enough! Feel free to tell us (don't be shy) how you survived that wicked tornado. What was the name of it? I hope you weren't on your bed like 'Dorothy and end up on top of the wicked witch of the North.....or was it east? ~Gypsy~
Thanks, Gypsy! Didn`t know I was in a contest. What`s the prize? A pack of Juicy Fruit?
Dear Cousin Pat, You are the winner! TA DA! What a gumshoe you turned out to be! Yes, it is and go for it! By the way, to those who inquired about the book We Borrow the Earth, I went to a bookshop named Borders outlet and is one that sells books cheaper and asked them if they could look it up and they did not have it there but said in their bigger stores they do. So it is possible to find it. I found it at Amazons on the net but it was double the price. So I am either go with the catalogue or search. ~Gypsy~
Gypsy, is the author William Martin?? If so, I am going to buy the papaerback on Amazon. It got great reader reviews. Pat
