    3. I am another one who doesn't write too often, partly because I don't think I have ties to Beara but I think this list is one of the very best. I love the stories and history and can't say how much I appreciate how well Bill runs it - and protects us all from spam! Totally off the wall, but Mary Ellen, from whence are your Morans ? I have Morans in my family and can't find them in Ireland, beyond assuming that they are from Kerry. Thank you Riobard and Bill, in particular. Sue

    3. I'm another lurker with no apparent ties to Beara(although close right over the border in Kerry). I love the stories and all that I learn on the list. Thanks so much to both Riobard and Bill for the effort. 3. Hi Sue,Thanks for the note. I have to laugh because my husband and I were practically engaged before I learned that his grandfather came from Slovakia to Ellis Island where his name was changed from Moravansky to Moran! Anyway, we were both at Boston College Grad School (Social Work) when I was first attracted to this tall, good-looking, Irish-certainly??? guy from Cleveland! My maternal ancestors hail from Bantry and I have found distant cousins in Glengarriff. We've been to Ireland 4 times and I have seen a lot of Morans in County Clare, Kerry, etc. My people are Burke, Triggs, Keohane and I'm still searching!
