    1. Re: [BEARA] About the NEHGS and Riobard's papers
    2. I will throw this into the mix----I contacted the NEHGS and asked if any of the collaborating records that I sent Mr O'Dwyer were sent to them with his records. They said NO but they would certainly like to have the family records of my two sides of the Sullivan family after they left Ireland. I have found their immigration records and vital records in Mass and in Michigan and here in Nebraska that prove that I indeed have the right families in the Allihies book. I am sure if they are contacted by anyone, they will be glad to add more records. Teresa Sullivan Lincoln Ne a message dated 2/15/2013 11:50:23 A.M. Central Standard Time, [email protected] writes: Dear friends of Beara, I am told that, "The processing of the Riobard O'Dwyer Papers is progressing according to schedule and should be completed by the end of February. This timetable is ahead of the 17 March 2013 goal mentioned in the Society's press release to the Beara Society of Boston. I am currently working on an article for the Spring edition of "American Ancestors" magazine that describes the manuscript collection and announces that the collection is open and available for use by NEHGS members at our library in Boston. The collection will be ready by the time the Spring issue of the magazine reaches our members." So, good news for our members in Boston and the greater Boston area. For those who live further away, and would be interested in obtaining access, the price is a bit dear. Here's what the NEHGS website has to say about membership costs.
