If you want to know about these contracts, you can go to _www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nedchs_ (http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nedchs) and it will explain railroad contracts in Nebraska. Four different Sullivan families including my grandfather and g grandfather came here in 1877 from the mines in Michigan and bought RR land, As it says on the web site, these contracts are on film at the Nebraska State Historical Society here in Lincoln and there is a film index of names. A number of years ago, a friend recorded a number of Irish on the contracts and I have that list. These contracts were from all over Ireland. I would assume that each state that the B and M RR go thru the state would also have these contracts. Teresa Sullivan In a message dated 3/18/2013 6:02:51 P.M.
