There are also Burkes in the mix, but I am less sure where (I am currently about to be snow bound in CT, I think, and not at home with my records. sue On Mar 18, 2013, at 10:46 AM, Mary Ellen Moran <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hi Carolyn Burke,Any connection to Burkes (from Bantry, Co. 3. Hello Sue,I'm sorry to tell you that just before becoming engaged to my dear husband of 48 years I learned that his grandfather came from Slovakia and had his name changed at Ellis Island from Moravansky/Moranski to Moran! But, he does look like a tall Irishman!!! Best...Mary Ellen. P.S. When you get a chance would love to know if we have some Burkes in common. We are also expecting to be snowbound tomorrow! > From: [email protected] > Date: Mon, 18 Mar 2013 12:33:25 -0400 > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [BEARA] Massachusetts and Rhode Island Beara settlers > > Hi, Mary Ellen, are you any relation to Morans of "some where" in Kerry, Glamorgan, Wales and then New Haven, CT?
