Have a copy of the marriage record of my great uncle Mortimer Sullivan and Mary Lowney on June 15, 1865 in New Bedford Ma. Actually says Mertemor Sullivan and Mary Louney. Her parents listed as Cornelius Louney and Mary --------. She is listed as age 25 on the Houghton Co Michigan 1870 census. This would mean a birth date of 1845. She was 38 according to the 1880 census. or a birth date of 1842. On page 192 of Riobard's Allihies book there is a Cornelius Lowney and Mary O'Shea with children Catherine Nov 1837, Mary July 1840 and Peter June 1843. I am not actively doing research on this name, simply adding to the Lowney archives. Teresa Sullivan
