    3. Hi Sheila, I know we've talked before and came to the conclusion that my O'Sullivan's aren't your O'Sullivan's...but they just MUST be connected, maybe cousins? I can't help but comment on the S. S. Ierne. John O'Sullivan, b 1895 Bere Island to John (son of Roger) O'Sullivan & Brigid O'Sullivan (dau of Peter O'Sullivan and Julia McCarthy) ALSO worked on the S.S. Ierne as a cabin boy in 1910 alongside his UNCLE Mickey, the chief engineer of the S.S. Ierne, who got him the job. (This from a family letter). Could I have found the connection at last? Could my John's uncle Mikey be your Michael's father Michael????? Do you know if Michael senior's parents were Roger O'Sullivan and Johanna O'Neill?? According to Riobard's book this Michael resided at one time in Plymouth, England and had a daughter, Bella, who married Dan John Murphy and lived in Portsmouth, England. ~Lisa -----Original Message----- From: beara-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:beara-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of sheila legge Sent: Wednesday, August 27, 2008 1:21 PM To: beara@rootsweb.com Subject: [BEARA] O'Sullivan Bere Island & CO Cork I Hope some one may be able to help I am trying to trace the family of Michael O'Sullivan (Ukirre) Michael was Born in 1909 (also have 1903 as a Birth year) at The Bridge, Derrycreeveen, Bere Island to Michael O'Sullivan (Ukirre) & Margaret Harrington (Caobach) Daughter of Timothy Harrington (Caobach) & Mary O'Sullivan. Michael died on 14th March 1969 aged 60yrs details from his Mass Card. Michael was married to Bridie O'Sullivan Daughter of Pad (or Patrick) O'Sullivan & Mary Harrington (Trokirre) Knockrua West, Allihies Parish. Michael worked as a carpenter on the Irish Lights, and later had a shop at 40, Shandon St ,Co Cork. His Father Michael also worked on the Irish Lights vessel S.S Ierne. I rember going to see them at the shop when we were on our way back to England after being on holiday to Bere Island. Can anyone tell me if Shandon St is still there and may be the shop (can't rember what they sold), also how I can go about tracing Michael's family. I live in Cheshire England, so any searches I do will be on line. Has anyone these names in their family tree? Thank you Sheila _________________________________________________________________ Win a voice over part with Kung Fu Panda & Live Search   and   100’s of Kung Fu Panda prizes to win with Live Search http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/107571439/direct/01/ ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BEARA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
