    3. While doing further research this morning, I came across JAMES O'NEILL and MARGARET CASKEY (= Harrington) who were married on February 2nd 1861. While they were living here in Beara they had 9 children, but there is no trace of any one of them here after that. United States ? Also JEREMIAH O'SULLIVAN(McGrath) & CATHERINE ABBOTT who were married on February 7th 1866 and who had 8 children while here. Five of them were put down as McGrath only --- as was their father. Did any of them go to Australia ? JAMES ABBOTT & JULIA O'SULLIVAN were married here on February 10th 1861 and had 6 children recorded to them while they lived here. The family were said to have emigrated to New York and JAMES was said to have had a saloon there. According to the Civil Records a JAMES GEDDING (= GIDDINS?), a military pensioner, died in the Adrigole Parish on October 21st 1870, aged 116 years. The first O'Leary man, a Stone Mason, came from Iveleary (Mid-Cork) to build the Barony Bridge, Glengarriff (the end of the Beara Peninsula nearest the Bantry Parish). LUDOVIC (= Louis) O'LEARY built the present Adrigole Church circa 1846. Riobard. -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter for private users. It has removed 1409 spam emails to date.
