Hallo I am new to this list- am searching for any information on a Goodwin or related family who according to family story lived in the area of Bantry Bay.At this point there is very little information just that a Philip Goodwin b. 1821- 1833 emigrated to US first to Nebraska (occupation baker)and died in Butte Montana in 1895. There is information on his descendants but nothing on his Irish connections. I have checked Griffiths ( even though the date is later) and note there are about 5 Goodwin entries in Cork with 4 in the Bantry or Castletownbere area. Would welcome any suggestions or information.
