Hi Irishdancer. Glad to see you are still in the hunt. In St. Illtyds church in Merthyr there is a marriage between Timothy Harrington and Margaret Donovan Feb. 21 1855. Could this be them? Timothy was born circa 1840 in Cork. Based on the children I'm guessing they were married about 1855, with first known child born 1856 in Merthyr Tidfil, Wales. Back to John - he married my GGM's sister, Margaret Parker 1889 in Fulham, MDX outside London. John was a Grenadier Guard, and had been in the Welsh Boarder Guard. By 1898 the family immigraded to Pennsylvania, where I am still in touch with John's GGdaughter. Should any of this sound familiar, I have more to share. BTW, Harrington is the second most common name in Beara area, so could be a needle in the haystack.
