My Grandather's aunt, Annie (Anna) Shanahan from Bocarnagh, Glengarriff married a Daniel Murphy from Bocarnagh, in Glengarriff Church in 1865. Daniels death record in Deerfield, Ma listed his parents as Jerry Murphy and Mary O'Sullivan. Daniel was born abt 1843 and died in 1868 (for frame of reference). I presume that the parents' names were provided by Annie. Interestingly, the death certificate of their son Daniel listed his father's name as Patrick. The informant in that case was a cousin, son of Annie's brother. I know from my last visit in 2006 that there were Murphy's still in Bocarnagh.
