    3. My Grandather's aunt, Annie (Anna) Shanahan from Bocarnagh, Glengarriff married a Daniel Murphy from Bocarnagh, in Glengarriff Church in 1865. Daniels death record in Deerfield, Ma listed his parents as Jerry Murphy and Mary O'Sullivan. Daniel was born abt 1843 and died in 1868 (for frame of reference). I presume that the parents' names were provided by Annie. Interestingly, the death certificate of their son Daniel listed his father's name as Patrick. The informant in that case was a cousin, son of Annie's brother. I know from my last visit in 2006 that there were Murphy's still in Bocarnagh. And btw, Glengarriff/Bonane are not included in Riobard's Eyries book. -----Original Message----- From: beara-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:beara-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Jane Devine Sent: Friday, October 09, 2009 8:48 PM To: Beara@rootsweb.com; beara@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BEARA] More Sullivan and Murphy research Dear Theresa and BEARA Friends, I have many relatives in Glengarriff that are buried in the Glengarriff Cemetery across from Sacred Heart Church in Glengarriff. My grandparents are there with a nice marked stone along with aunts and uncles; however, the older grandparents going back two more generations have a stone marker. There weren't $$ to do a proper stone and the famine was also probably a consideration?? On the Griffiths Website there is a Jeremiah Murphy listed in Bocarnagh, Glengarriff; my great grandfather is there also..... Here is the website (don't know if it is your "Murphy".....) but I thought you might like to look at the reference; perhaps more "leads"...... http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml Good luck, Jane Sullivan Devine San Francisco, California --- On Wed, 10/7/09, kerstentm@snowcrest.net <kerstentm@snowcrest.net> wrote: From: kerstentm@snowcrest.net <kerstentm@snowcrest.net> Subject: [BEARA] More Sullivan and Murphy research To: Beara@rootsweb.com Date: Wednesday, October 7, 2009, 4:40 PM   To all,      I've an odd question.  I've been so busy tracking the burial places of   my ancestors here, that I've never thought about where people in   Eyeries could be buried.  Is Kilcatherine Cemetery the only possibility?      I've also been searching for the parents of Michael Murphy from Butte   Montana who married Mary Murphy in Butte. Mary was daughter of   Patrick Murphy who was wed to Maggie Sullivan. The parents are Jeremiah    Murphy and Nora Sullivan of Glengariff.  We have Riobard's Eyeries book,   but don't know if Glengariff is included or is in another of his books. I'm   just amazed that we miraculously have found any leads.   Theresa --------------------------------------------- This message was sent using SnowCrest WebMail. http://www.snowcrest.net ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BEARA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BEARA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message No virus found in this incoming message.
