Marge, And I realized, I should acknowledge my new found cousin, Mary Ann, for helping my stumbling process lately. We've been working on sharing photos and doing research together. She's a descendant of Patrick Murphy and Maggie Sullivan Murphy of Butte, Montana. I had also gotten all the information that I could from the oldest living relative in that family and felt like I was holding onto it until other interested folks showed up, which they have gloriously. We've also been in contact with descendants of Maggie Murphy Holland of Leadville, CO, Eureka, Utah and finally Kannah Creek, CO. They have a lively interest in the family history also. It was on a visit to Aunt Maggie and Uncle Mike that my grandmother Mary Lenora Harrington met a handsome baseball player, Eugene Oscar Kersten and they were married within a week in Grand Junction, Colorado. My grandmother's cousins and close friends were Nell and Irene Holland. Nell had married James Darrah and we discovered that my grandfather and James played baseball and worked for the railroad, later in Sunnyside and Hiawatha Utah. My new found Murphy relatives are all delightful people and I'm grateful for such lovely people to share exploring the family history with.
