I was recently there, and someone explained to me that the original parish church was on Kilcatherine Point until 1824 when it was moved to the village of Eyeries. The ruins of the original church are stunning and a cemetery is in and around the ruins. The "newer" church is a lovely yellow structure that looks like it could have been built in Mission Viejo.
