    1. Re: [BEARA] Sullivan Harrington Question
    2. C, I have a Harrington/Sullivan family that moved to Leadville about 1879 or there abouts. They lived in a few places but stayed in Leadville about ten years. What kind of information were you looking for on these people? In my direct line family the husband was a Harrington and the wife a Sullivan. Please let us know what you are looking for... Dianna

    3. Curiously, my mother, who was a Dolan, lived in Leadville, born in Tonapah in about 1915, then her family moved to Butte where she met my father, Patrick Harrington, and married. Of course Patrick is from Beara, and Riobard did a wonderful job of tracing the Harrington side of our family out of "the woods" in Beara. If you have been to Leadville AND Butte, you would be very surprised to see the similarities in housing, etc., probably because of our common mining heritage. BTW - if you are a "flatlander", don't go skiing in Leadville. It's 11,000 ft, and you'll never get off the bunny slope without oxygen. 3. Hi Dan,   I was raised in Denver but came out to near Seattle many years ago. Sadly I never learned to ski until I got out here! Now my body would not stand up to the lift let alone the altitude. I am moving back to Colorado and my extended family. I have half a dozen second cousins in Buena Vista which is just down the road from Leadville.   My greatgrandmother, Mary Sullivan, had a brother, Jerry, in Butte that attended her funeral in 1934. Also a James in MA but I think finding him would be much harder. I will be making it out to Butte sometime before I move to see if I can track Jerry down. ~~C Sullivan --- On Fri, 10/9/09, Dan Harrington Ph.D <dan@itgworld.com> wrote: From: Dan Harrington Ph.D <dan@itgworld.com> Subject: Re: [BEARA] Sullivan Harrington Question To: beara@rootsweb.com Date: Friday, October 9, 2009, 12:42 PM Curiously, my mother, who was a Dolan, lived in Leadville, born in Tonapah in about 1915, then her family moved to Butte where she met my father, Patrick Harrington, and married.  Of course Patrick is from Beara, and Riobard did a wonderful job of tracing the Harrington side of our family out of "the woods" in Beara.
