    3. To C. Sullivan, Jay Richards, Dan Harrington, Dianna, Don Harrington, Re - Leadville My Grandmother, Ellen Harrington (Caobach), from Lower Cahirkeem, had three brothers who went to Leadville. The dates were approximately 1860's. They were Jerry, Tim and Jack. Jerry went first and lived in Denver and Leadville.Tim followed him and lived in both those places. Jack came later and lived for many years in Leadville and then moved to Utah, where he lived in Park City and later Bingham Canyon where he died. Jerry went back to Beara where he married Margaret Goggin of Cahirkeem and lived in Lower Cahirkeem. His granddaughter, Agnes Duggan, still lives on that same small lane going down to the Bay. That lane starts just across the road from the Grotto. These guys sent money back home to pay for my Grandmother and her twin sister, Margaret to come to the States. Both came to the Michigan Copper Country where they married men from Beara. If you have been to Leadville AND Butte, you would be very surprised to see the similarities in housing, etc., probably because of our common mining heritage. BTW - if you are a "flatlander", don't go skiing in Leadville.  It's 11,000 ft, and you'll never get off the bunny slope without oxygen.
