Hi New on here so hopefully someone may be able to help me a wee bit would be excellent My Great Grandmother Ellen Pearson nee WHITE came from somewhere in Co Kerry. She was born abt 1860 She emigrated to NZ via Lon Derry port to Lyttleton NZ Her father was JAMES WHITE & her mother was MARY nee SHEA Ellen became a Ladies Companion for the ABBOTT family in NZ. They had come fro Tipperary (Nenagh) and must have been well to do. There was 3 spinsters Fanny Sheppard, Cherry and another. A half brother had gone to USA in late 1800's. Anyway my GGmother Ellen White must have probably known this family prior to sailing.
