Hi Barbara, My Harringtons came from the townland of Disert, Castletownbere and it was because of Riobard that I was able to send for certificates for some of my family. I had to apply to the diocese of Kerry, as the Church of the Sacred Heart, Castletownbere comes under the civil parish of Killaconenagh. Don't know whether this is part of the Cork side or not. Someone maybe able clarify this. Hope this is of some help. Geraldine

Hi Barbara, My Harringtons come from Castletownbere & Bere Island. I found the Parish Priest Father Sheehan at the Secred Heart Castletown was a great help with information & certificates. He is also the Parish Priest for Bere Island. Hope this helps, good luck.
