A personal check written on a U.S. Bank checking account works fine...written in U.S. $$. I don't know whether they draw it in Euros or dollars...but they say "Thank you". I've done this on three occasions in the past 60 days. I, too, need some help but in getting money to Ireland. I received some certificates from a church in Allihies and I need to send the suggested donation to them for the research. However, I am having difficulty getting euros here in the states from my banks. They have to order them and the minimum amount is way more than I need and there is a stiff fee for ordering them. I cannot get a money order in euros and certainly don't want to send euros in the mail. Can anyone tell me if I send them a money order in American dollars will they be able to cash it over there into euros?
