It took me a while to find my grandmother (Helena Regan, daughter of Con and Nora Regan). There were no Regan/Reagans listed in Kilcaskan and no there is District Electoral Division of Adrigole. When I searched for the townland of ADRigole I found the DED has been transcribed as ARDigole. - A Google search for Ardigole gets quite a few hits. Are Adrigole and Ardigole really interchangeable?? ?? - I know that "Ard-" means "High-" in Gaelic (and presumably in Irish), so many placenames in hilly areas of Scotland and Ireland do start with "Ard-".? What is the meaning of the placename Adrigole? As for the names, Cornelius was enumerated with the abbreviation Cors. and transcribed as Cors; Nora was enumerated as Hanora; Rita was enumerated as Marg. (for Margarita I assume) but transcribed as Mary and Helena was transcribed as Helene. - one daughter was Marg. and another was Maggie.? - My great-grandparents townland was enumerated as Inchintagglin, but has been transcribed as Inchintaglin, which seems the modern spelling.
