I understood he was an Amputee (Leg) as a result of an accident in a Mine. Family went to America from Eyeries,Castletown,Co Cork,Ireland. Jeremiah Returned to Ireland c.1885 and Married Cait (Baoi) O’Leary from Strand Road,Eyeries,Co Cork on 1st Aug 1889. His Father was James Driscoll (Kilcatherine, Eyeries ),Mother was Mary O’Sullivan,Bofficil,Eyeries and his sister Mary possibly married "McCarthy" in Butte.
