    3. Dear friends of Beara, Thanks to Riobard’s extremely helpful hints, I was able to look up the significant entries in Volumes I and II of The Annals of Beara and provide them to John. Board. As they say: "No rest for the wicked". If John can come across two of my original books: "Who were my Ancestors, Eyeries Parish" & "Who were my Ancestors, Allihies Parish", he can look at the Allihies one, Page 256 for Peter O'Leary & Nora Harrington(Caupey), of Ballinacholla, Dursey Island: Pages 87 & 88 of the Eyeries Parish for O'Learys, Jer, etc; & page 144 of the Eyeries Parish for Tadhg O'Leary & Margaret Harrington(Caupey), etc., etc. One thing will lead to another because there are wheelbarrows of information to be got; & carry on from there. A considerable amount of information may be found in "The Annals of Beara", but I haven't time to go through pages in that, except to try Volume 1 for the Allihies Parish, and Volume 2 for the Eyeries Parish. Many connections could lead to other Parishes as well. In "Annals of Beara", Volume 1 takes in the Parishes of Adrigole and Allihies (including Dursey Island); Volume 2 takes in Eyeries Parish and Bere Island; and Volume 3 takes in the Parishes of Castletownbere and Glengarriff (Co. Cork part). In between, I have nearly choked myself trying to eat my dinner quickly. So, trying to avoid "conking out" with a heart attack, I must now start "heading for the road" again. The best of luck to all in the Beara Column. Riobard.
