All: Around the first of December I thought I saw that the Catholic Parish Registers were going to be made available On Line from the National Library of Ireland. I have been side tracked in my research for the last several months but I want to get back into the saddle. How do I access these registers on line? Any tips you can give will be greatly appreciated. Has anyone had any luck in finding family in these on line registers? Thank You. Blair
Hi Blair, and all readers, You can find the parish registers at http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/browse/counties/rcmaps/ and https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/irish-records-what-is-available/church-reco rds Here's the text of the announcement from December: http://www.irishgenealogynews.com/2014/12/national-library-confirms-plans-to .html Since this is a work in progress, I expect it will be some years before it's anything near complete. But in the meantime there's already a lot of good information that's been made available, especially from the Diocese of Kerry, which covers our interests.
