Any help greatly appreciated Terry -----Original Message----- From: Susan Daily via Sent: Friday, July 10, 2015 9:14 AM To: beara@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [BEARA] Irish Catholics can now trace ancestry online back to1740s [Oops I didn't finish writing my email!!] Keep in mind that in Latin, the spelling of the words and names is affected by whether the person is feminine (typically ends with an A) or masculine (typically ends in UM), or if the name is the the subject of the sentence or the object! (My old Latin and English teachers would be proud of me, lol.) So that is why Michael is spelled differently twice: with the UM meaning he is the subject of the baptism sentence, and with IS which is the object (I think?). ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BEARA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
