Hi Nancy, I wish I could help you more, but there are restrictions on me. There would have been no need for you to go to Dublin, because I had all the research here. Nobody else in the world had all the stuff I had have/had about Beara Genealogy, but you should find all I sent to the NEHGS Museum in Boston. As regards Denis Sheehan & Mary Downing, the little bit I can now tell you is: that apart from young Denis, there were Jeremiah (born in April 1827), John, Michael, Mary, Patrick, William, Ellen (the 1st Ellen who died young), Catherine, Mark, Eliza, and the 2nd Ellen (born in Dec. 1851. They were born in various places (Killaugh, Kilkinnihan, the townland of Allihies, and Cahirmore ---- all in the Parish of Allihies (the Copper Mines Parish). Some were born during the Famine times in Ireland. As regards Denis Sheehan & Ellen Spring (a native of Co. Kerry), they had the following children: Elizabeth, Georginia (born in Aug. 1871), Teresa (known as Terry), John (known as Sonny), Denny, and Patrick. They all were born in the townland of Cahirmore, in the Allihies Parish. There could have been others in the 1st family ( Denis Sheehan & Mary Downing), but about 3 pages were cut out of the Allihies Parish Records with a scissors by somebody.
