Hi Tami... I have a 23andMe account under my brother, Charles McDermott, and I have an Ancestry.com tree under Loretta McDermott Family Tree. I just uploaded my Autosomal DNA but it is still going through the process with the name Loretta McGinn My Kit is A861852. I am not sure where my Irish ancestors are from because I have no dates and their namaes are fairly common. However, on my Dad's side, we are Maternal Grands and GreatGrands are Shea, Sullivan and McCarthy. Paternally we are Cuddihy, Kearney and McDermott. On my Mom's side we are Collins, Kearney, Kelly and Dalton/D'Alton. I just keep searching and searching and hoping.... Hi Loretta -- My kit number is A974070 under the name of Charles Michael Saunders. I just did a one on one comparison on gedmatch and discovered we have a common ancestor somewhere down the line. I am Irish on my paternal side of the family with Saunders/Lonergan (Co. Kilkenny), Lynch/Sullivan (Kilkatherine, Eyeries Parish), Shay/Sullivan (Crath) (Adrigole Parish), Leacock (Co. Hello, Loretta, you and my brother (A693069) have a small match. I don't know enough about this to know if it is significant? I don't believe we have any from Beara but ours are from other parts of Kerry and Cork (Shea, Neil, Mahony, Hickey and others, probably Moran and Sullivan???)
