Dear friends of Beara, I know a lot of us have New England connections, and therefore this announcement is pertinent to those who do. --- Begin cited text --- The New England Historic Genealogical Society (NEHGS) is offering free access throughout January to three of its most popular databases: Massachusetts Vital Records, 1841-1910 New Hampshire Births to 1901, Deaths and Marriages to 1937 Vermont Births, Marriages and Deaths to 2008 These are the top three 'Irish states' of America where Irish Americans make up a largest proportion (MA 21.2%; NH 20.5%; VT 18% ) of the state populations. Whether you have direct ancestors who emigrated and settled in the USA or you are chasing extended family, searching these databases is likely to yield some useful discoveries. To take advantage of the offer, which expires on 31 January, you'll need to register as a guest on the NEHGS site. It's free and no financial information is requested.
