    3. Ann I believe flights into Dublin will be less expensive than say, Limerick. You might even consider a cheap flight into Heathrow, England with a connector to Dublin. Probably could also get a car rental deal with the flight. Dublin airport is very easy to connect to anywhere, just watch the round about connections. We enjoyed bed and breakfast stays with good local chats. Good luck with family research...Dublin will have tons of records and do not miss the national museum. If time is limited do a hop on hop off bus tour...tremendous history. If you fwd family details I could be a second pair of eyes? Enjoy 2016. regvolk@shaw.ca Reg Sent from my iPad > On Jan 1, 2016, at 5:55 AM, Ann Chilton via <beara@rootsweb.com> wrote: > > Hi Victoria (from Ann Chilton nee Berry - O'Sullivan Og descendant from > Cloughland Strand, Bere Island) > > Re the below, as I'm from England I have no good knowledge of which airline > is best from the USA, but would suggest that Dublin, being the capital, is > probably the best airport to fly into but I would suggest you listen to > others on that score. 3. Victoria, Dublin airport is a good idea...but if you rent a car (which I did when I went some years ago)...just remember to drive on the left side of the road! Renting a car gives lots of freedom to explore at your own pace, especially if you discover some unexpected treasures along the way. And staying in "Bed and breakfasts" is a great way to meet the local folks who can probably tell you much more about the place and people than any books in print. Sounds wonderful.
