    2. Tami, The name Cumba caught my attention. That is a branch name of the Sullivans. I have been told that my Sullivans are Cumba Sullivans and mine lived on Valentia Island off the coast of Kerry from at least 1850 forward. Where did your Cumba family come from? I am assuming Cork, but I would like more information on them if you have it. Trying to narrow down Sullivans is like trying to match two pieces of straw to the original stalk that they came from in a barn full of it. Do you know where Timothy emigrated from? That would be a start. There is only one Cumbaw in the 1911 (in Limerick, born Kerry) census and none in the 1901 Census.
