This morning my wife Paula died. When I woke up she was unresponsive. Still warm, but not breathing. I called the paramedics. They found no heartbeat. She was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly thereafter. Best guess is she had a heart attack just a little while before I woke up. That's a son-in-law, and a wife, both gone in two months. Between them we lost our friend Donal O. Will you please remember Paula Anne Gawne in your prayers? Dear Bill, I am very saddened to hear of the death of your Paula. You and your daughter have been through a lot this year; somehow, it seems unfair. Friends at Beara, I am new to the group and found my way to Beara Digest in the process of tracing family back to Cork County. I have a question for anyone. We have a family name that has been given for quite a number of generations, usually as a middle name, and usually it is the first son in the family that passes it along. The name is 'Haulsey'. The various generations have a 'Joseph Haulsey Harrington', or a 'William Haulsey Harrington', 'John Haulsey Harrington', etc. But the name Haulsey may be a clue for us in tracing our family back to Cork. If anyone should be aware of this name, Haulsey, being used with the surname Harrington, I would be most eager to hear from them. It is not a usual name here in America, but we don't know about Ireland and Cork in particular. Is anyone familiar with this name? Thanks, Robert Harrington Cork to New York to Detroit area -----Original Message----- From: beara-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:beara-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of beara-request@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, October 20, 2012 2:00 AM To: beara@rootsweb.com Subject: BEARA Digest, Vol 7, Issue 210 Today's Topics: 1. Dear friends of Beara, It seems I keep coming here with news of tragedy. I wish that weren't so, but so it is. Also, spare a thought for her daughters Grace, so recently widowed, and Amanda; and for her granddaughters Bethany and Rhiannon. -- Bill
Bill, this is so sad and tragic and you and your family are in my prayers. Bill, I'm so sorry for your tragedy! You and your family will be in my prayers. While I am very new to this board I can see what a support, care, and concern there is on this board.
