    3. Seamus, Hello...my husband's O'Sullivan's came fairly recently to the US in the 1930's, his grandfather John aka Sean. HIS parents were John and Brigid O'Sullivan, both born Bere Island. They and several siblings remained in Castletownbere. Just wondering if you know any of the descendents? The last living great-aunt we know of was Margaret (Peg) O'Sullivan. I was hoping to get her married name before sending this, she was taken to hospital in Baltimore, Ireland when she became ill between 2003-06 .We are hoping to connect with family when we come to your corner of the world. I wondered if any of you have heard of meavaun? Can one purchase dulse these days? I imagine my grandmother used meavaun, as a multi-vitamin/mineral tab?? Looking forward to reading responses. 3. Although at present the absolute website address to the 'Photo Site' address is www.westcork.org/coppermine we would rather the members of the Beara List to access through www.bhs.ie <http://www.bhs.ie/> then click on the Button marked 'Photo Site' to avoid confusion in the future as we are no longer updating www.westcork.org <http://www.westcork.org/> The Irish Domain Registry has allocated www.bhs.ie <http://www.bhs.ie/> to the Society and during the next few months we will be changing all our links to this address. Best wishes to all. John All members of the Beara List are welcomed to register at the Beara Historical Society's 'Photo Site' and add Family photos etc.

Sorry for the length of these instructions but you should find it quicker to upload your photos than reading the following. Best Wishes. John To Upload your photos first click on Upload File at top of screen. The first time you do this a new box opens: - Create/Order my Files. Click New then in the lower box where it also says New Album - Press the backspace key to remove the words 'New Album', then type in a name for your first album, i.e. 'The Sullivan Family' or whatever you choose, then click on the upwards arrow button. Repeat this if you want to add more Album names at this time. (You can always add more Albums later) When finished, click on 'New Modifications'. Another Box will appear saying 'Do you want to make these Modifications?' Click on O.K the Continue. Now click on Upload file at top of screen again - In the boxes that appear, click on the 'Browse Button' in box #1 and then browse through your computer until you find the photo you wish to upload. Point at it with the mouse cursor; click the mouse button to 'Highlight' the file then click the 'Open Button'. Repeat the process, using boxes #2 through #5 if you want to add more photos at this time. (I would suggest you only upload one photo the first time, so as to get used to the process) When finished adding photos, click 'Continue'. When the photos have uploaded to the site (this may take a few minutes) another box appears with your first photo, (they may not be in the order you uploaded them, but don't worry about this) click on the Select 'Album Box' to choose the Album into which you want to place the photo. In the Box below put in a description of the photo, i.e. name of the person or place. In the second box put in a detailed description, i.e. the people's names, date, place, etc. In the third box add relevant Keywords, i.e. 'Brandy Hall' (This will help others to quickly find a photo as the database grows). Click 'Continue'. Next screen will say, 'The Previous file was placed Successfully'. Click 'Continue' and repeat as above until all your photos are entered. The response to the Beara Photo Site has been quite remarkable in the eight weeks of its existence. So far the Society's and Beara List members have uploaded 335 photos which have been viewed over 6000 times. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BEARA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
