    2. Eileen, I know that Comcast cable network carries PBS in their on demand. I've watched shows that way, but I think it requires a fair amount of memory in your computer. I was surprised when I looked on line, that they ask for my zip code and then provided a listing for showings in Northern California. Since I know there is a good contingent in this area, the schedule that they gave was Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 11 p.m. on KQED, Channel 9 on broadcast, channel 7 on Comcast. Friday October 23 at 8 p.m. on KQED and KVIE-Channel 6 in Sacramento and on all local systems. Monday, October 26, 5 am. on KVIE and Tues Oct. 29 at 11 p.m. on KVIE. It looks like an interesting show. Theresa > Check the program guide at http://www.pbs.org/independentlens/guide.html > > See film clips on YouTube. 3. I am a Leadville native and I recall my mother talking about the name of Sullivan quite a bit. I know of two sisters, Genevieve and Anne Sullivan that would have been born early 1900's. Genevieve married Harold Metcalf but she died sometime prior to 1964. Harold then married her sister Anne, who was a teacher in Leadville and a wonderful sweet lady. Harold passed away in 2005. Anne passed away probably in the late 1990's - both in Glenwood Springs, CO where I now live. I will look and see if I can find any additional information. I was in Leadville last summer and found Harold's gravestone and took a picture and I may also have taken a picture of Anne's and possibly Genevieve's as well. My grandmother, Johanna (Josephine) Leary Courtney came to Leadville from the Beara Peninsula by way of Houghton, MI. Isn't it a wonderfully small world we live in? Best to all. Kathy

    1. Re: [BEARA] More Sullivan and Murphy research
    2. Marge, And I realized, I should acknowledge my new found cousin, Mary Ann, for helping my stumbling process lately. We've been working on sharing photos and doing research together. She's a descendant of Patrick Murphy and Maggie Sullivan Murphy of Butte, Montana. I had also gotten all the information that I could from the oldest living relative in that family and felt like I was holding onto it until other interested folks showed up, which they have gloriously. We've also been in contact with descendants of Maggie Murphy Holland of Leadville, CO, Eureka, Utah and finally Kannah Creek, CO. They have a lively interest in the family history also. It was on a visit to Aunt Maggie and Uncle Mike that my grandmother Mary Lenora Harrington met a handsome baseball player, Eugene Oscar Kersten and they were married within a week in Grand Junction, Colorado. My grandmother's cousins and close friends were Nell and Irene Holland. Nell had married James Darrah and we discovered that my grandfather and James played baseball and worked for the railroad, later in Sunnyside and Hiawatha Utah. My new found Murphy relatives are all delightful people and I'm grateful for such lovely people to share exploring the family history with.
