    2. There were coal mines in Flintshire, Northern Wales, and also across the River Dee in The Wirral, Cheshire. Long before the building up of Liverpool as a major Port, there was a ferry service widely used between Parkgate in the Wirral, and the Eastern & Southern Counties of Ireland. Many Irish boys would go by ferry and work the coal mines or as agricultural laboures in the Wirral & in Cheshire or go to other places in England.& Wales. Of course some would stay permmently, most went home to Ireland at the end of the harvest season. Lonie822@aol.com Elaine Massey Caridi

    2. Bill Gawne
    3. Dear friends of Beara, A reminder to all reading this, especially those reading from the web archive or who've gotten messages forwarded from someone, that in order to post to the BEARA mailing list you must be subscribed to the BEARA mailing list. I check the spam trap for the list about once a day, and today I've found several messages intended for Riobard O'Dwyer sent from e-mail accounts that are not subscribed to the BEARA list. I fear the authors of those messages are going to be disappointed, even though I've forwarded the messages on to Riobard. Furthermore, when engaging in a private business communication, you really should send the message directly to the e-mail address of the person with whom you wish to do business. Communications sent to the BEARA list at large get placed into the Rootsweb archive, from which they can not be removed and remain searchable via Google and similar search engines. 2. Hi Riobard, If there is a copy available, I would love to have one. I'm a day late, but totaled the requests and I think I just make the cut for one of the 9 copies. I've been meaning to let you know that Dad (Jerome/Jerry Harrington) passed away at the end of last year. We had such fun with you in Ireland -- I know time spent with you was a very special part of his life. Many thanks for all you have done. 1. [BEARA] Horace Dwyer of Anaconda MT??
    2. Tom McGourin
    3. Riobard: Glad to see that you are still active on the Beara list! About two years ago I discovered another Dwyer cousin who lives about 5 miles from me! She sent me an e-mail recently asking if I had any idea if we had a relative named Horace Dwyer. That's not a name I recognize, or ever remember seeing on this list. There is a grade school in Anaconda, Montana named after him. Any ideas? A sad note: I was browsing some cemetery records in O'Neill, Nebraska the other day, and found that Barbara Birmingham passed away on March 26th! Tom
