    3. >From today's Irish Genealogy News: http://www.irishgenealogynews.com/2014/12/ancestry-ie-and-uk-free-until-26.h tml --- Begin Quoted Text --- While most family history databases and suppliers tend to concentrate their promotions on the post-Christmas to New Year period, Ancestry has decided to offer a Christmas Eve to St Stephen's Day freebie. There's free access to Ancestry's Ireland and UK collections from now until 23:59 pm GMT on 26 December 2014 (all promotions say 'UK' collection, but I've checked the list of datasets available and found that all the Irish ones are included). To take advantage of the free access offer, you need to register with your name and email address. You'll be sent an automatically generated user name and password to allow you access to the billion or so records held in these collections. --- End Quoted Text --- Being an economical sort (or what some might call a cheapskate) I like to take advantage of these opportunities to get into the databases that Ancestry holds so I can hunt for birth, death, and marriage records. Happy hunting! Bill Gawne

    3. As I read it, both on the email and on their website this tartan is a personal one that was designed just for the priest named. He happens to be an O'Sullivan from Beara. The website calls it O'Sullivan-Beare. Therefore, the head of the house of Beara would be the person who is currently "chief" of the O'Sulllivan-Beara family. Does it even exist clearly anymore?
