    3. Sue, Sorry to take so long to respond to your query. Why did you think Jonathan BALES b. PA was in the Revolutionary war? Did he have a wife? What was her name? I find no entry for a BALES I find 3 entries under BALE for Henry, Ludwick, & William. No Jonathan! Ludwick & William were from PA. I find 4 Jonathan BEAL,BEALL,BEALE & BEALS in the DAR PATRIOT INDEX-Centennial Edition. I also have the spouse volume Which I can check for you. All of the Jonathans were were from MEor MA& died in ME or MA! I see a John from PA & MD. The Jonathans were married to Mary JOY, Naomi BATES, Percilla LINCOLN 1st & 2nd Mercy BATES, Abigail HARLOW 1st & Abigail EGERTON 2nd. Any possibility that you could be wrong about PA as a bp? Or could have the given name wrong? You should always check pension records under the wifes name too! Sorry that I can't have better news. Chuck
