Would appreciate any information that anyone can give me. I have a copy of Ninian Bealls' will wherein he bequeaths to his daughter Susanna Catlett, 1 shilling sterling, and that is all. He provides for Susannas' children, (no names) two hundred pounds to be divided equally upon their attaining age 21 or marriage whichever comes first. No mention of any wife, but, Hardage Lane is Executor of estate, could the possibility that Susanna married to Alexander Catlett was not in agreement by her father Ninian, therefore his not giving her what he divided between her other sisters (3), also he gives his son-in-laws (3) land adjoining his by virtue of them marrying his other daughters, Alexander was not mentioned as a son-in-law either. Is there a possibility that when Susanna married Alexander Catlett and they were members of the Seneca Primitive Baptist Church in Dawsonville, Md, that Ninian disapproved of this? Also, does anyone have any information that Susanna was born in Montgomery Co. Md, or any early history regarding her? There is a mention in the court proceedings that Alexander Catlett was given 28.11.5-1/7 on June 19, 1791 and Leah Catlett 28.121.5-1/7 for proportion of legacy. Thanks in advance for any information that you may be able to give me. Tudie
