I have information on just a few generations of this line, so I wrote it up in Family Tree Maker, so I could send it out with my introductory letter. I am looking forward to hearing from you and meeting some new cousins! Now, a little about myself. My maiden name is Mary Mina Beall, daughter of Herbert Sunderland Beall, Jr. He is shown on the following descendant report. I have been collecting family information throughout the years, but just recently began putting together pedigree charts and gathering internet information. I have been focusing on my mother's side of the family...but now I am excited about learning more about my father's lines. In fact, it was his father who took me on my first genealogic expedition. When I was in the third grade, in about 1963, my family resided in Bowie-Belair, Maryland. When my grandfather Herbert came to visit I went with him and my father to a cemetary in Frederick Lawn, Maryland. We were searching for Sunderlands or Bealls, or perhaps both. I don't recall having too much success!!! So, here I am, 35 years later, still searching through the past! Descendants of Thomas W. Beall Generation No. 1 1. THOMAS W.1 BEALL. He married ELIZABETH IJAMS. They had ten children. Child of THOMAS BEALL and ELIZABETH IJAMS is: 2. i. JOHN SUNDERLAND2 BEALL, b. 1828, Lancaster, Ohio; d. 1868. Generation No. 2 2. JOHN SUNDERLAND2 BEALL, Dr. (THOMAS W.1) was born 1828 in Lancaster, Ohio, and died 1868. He married LIZZIE ZEHRING 1854, daughter of PHILLIP ZEHRING and ANNA. Children of JOHN BEALL and LIZZIE ZEHRING are: 3. i. FRANK HENRY3 BEALL, b. 1859; d. 1904. ii. SALLIE ZEHRING BEALL. Generation No. 3 3. FRANK HENRY3 BEALL (JOHN SUNDERLAND2, THOMAS W.1) was born 1859, and died 1904. He married CARRIE MAE SPRINKLE. Child of FRANK BEALL and CARRIE SPRINKLE is: 4. i. HERBERT SUNDERLAND4 BEALL, SR., b. 1899; d. 1978. Generation No. 4 4. HERBERT SUNDERLAND4 BEALL, SR. (FRANK HENRY3, JOHN SUNDERLAND2, THOMAS W.1) was born 1899, and died 1978. He married SARAH LILLIAN BENTON 1921 in North Carolina. They resided in Norfolk, Virginia for all of their married years. Children of HERBERT BEALL and SARAH BENTON are: i. HERBERT SUNDERLAND5 BEALL, JR., b. Norfolk, VA; d. 1994; m. MARYETHEL STRAW. ii. DELMA DELORES BEALL, b. Norfolk, VA; m. ED PROCTOR. Well, folks, that is about all I know for now.
