There is a book that is authored by Alexander Graham Bell in which he extracted the information himself during a visit to his ancestoral homelands. The book "Bells of St Andrew" is at Ft Wayne library and was written in 1918, it does give witness/godparents for Robert Bell/Beall they were Robert Wan and John Oliphant. Robert's mother was Jenat Olliphant.
