Greetings: I am currently seeking a connection (are they related in someway?) with a George Lafayette Beal from Norway, ME and Jarvis Thayer Beal, my 2nd great grandfather. Both Beal families are from the York, ME area originally. George was a officer in the 29th ME that Jarvis served in. From the genealogy books on Norway, ME, there was a George Lafayette Beal from there, born May 21, 1825. I found that George's parents were Ezra Fluent Beal, born June 17, 1797 at Norway, ME. Ezra married Mary Ann Bennett. Ezra's parents were William Beal, b York, ME in 1770, and his mother was Jerusha (Fluent) who came to Norway when the town was at it's beginning.
