FMMB (112) erroneously assigns to Ninian Beall of Thomas a majority of the information presented here for B-ALEX-22 Ninian Beall of Alexander, including ownership of Friendship Enlarged. FMMB in turn assigns to "Ninian the Elder," whom he erroneously believed to be son of Charles of Col. Ninian, the information presented in this database under Ninian of Thomas. Ninian of Alexander lived in area which became Montgomery County 1776, was Frederick Co unty 1749 and before that was Prince Georges County. Marriage. G1708 (age 21) m. Ruth, family name unknown. (Roberta Hull, Beall News:23) Acc to Thomas Beall (Beall News:12, Sept 1991) Ninian of Alexander m. Elizabeth Gordon however land transactions below indicate it is Ruth who waived dower. Acc to Heterick Elizabeth Gordon was Col. Ninian Beall's wife in Scotland, others deny he had a wife in Scotland. Acc to Heterick, the unknown Ruth was Ruth Beall, daughter of Thomas Hamilton and his wife Ann, named in the 1782 will (PGW T:194) of Thomas Hamilton [b. G1722], which was witnessed by Isaac Walker and Charles Duvall. However, this cannot be; Ruth Beall daughter of Thomas Hamilton would have been b. G1744, or conversely, if Ruth b. G1690 (age 18 at marriage G1708), then Thomas would be b. G1668 (age 22 when Ruth b., and aged over 100 at time of will 1782, an observation also noted by Russell (Charles Beall:100). Roberta Hull: Ruth married Roger Beall, son of Nathaniel, as proved by the wills of her grandfather and uncle, William Scott and Zachariah Scott, PG 1:44B and Tl:23. Ruth and Roger are in the 1776 census. 1749 was the last time Ruth waived dower (Major:218) Land Transactions: 9 Sep 1713 received upper part (Upper Tract) of Friendship Enlarged; 9 Nov 1719 Alexander Beall of P G Co for love and affection gift-deeded t@ _____________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
