    3. I'm looking for help proving/disproving a theory. Here's what we know: my great-great grandmother, Bertha Hannah Snyder, was born to William and Anna (Beall) Snyder in 1881 in Lebanon, Warren County, OH. No further information has been available on either of Bertha's parents. In 1898, she married John Franklin "Frank" Pickering. In the 1900 census, they and two children appear in Spring Valley, Greene County, OH - living with "grandmother" Isabela Kinsey. Here's a recent discovery: in the 1880 census of the same Spring Valley, William Snider, 19, and Annie B. Kinsey, 22, are both live-in servants in the Nathan Davis household. The theory: Annie Beall married a Kinsey, probably a son of the Christopher and Isabella Kinsey of Xenia, Greene County, OH, who appear in the same census. The marriage ends quickly, probably upon the death of Kinsey. (I would assume a divorce would not leave a child of Annie thinking of a Kinsey in-law as a grandmother.) Annie and William meet "at work," and nature takes its course. OK, It's up the flagpole - anybody want to shoot at it ... or salute it? Kurt Pickering kpickering@tnema.org
