Dennis, While preparing for a trip to Maryland and D.C. in 1996, we discovered a "Beall Burying Ground" was shown in Georgetown on a mapping program we have, Compton's Complete Street Atlas. We went around the block several times, but found nothing and no one to ask. Being short of time, we gave up on this quest. On the map, the burying ground is located nearest N Street between 30th and 31st. It appears to be set back a little from N Street, as if it were in back or to the side of the residence. I have no answer to your question about the tombstones, but your post definitely caught my attention. We did locate the Ninian Beall memorial at St. John's, though I thought for a while we were not going to find that either. Nell Whittington NellnTexas@aol.com
